Privacy overview · July 2026

Privacy by default.

This page summarises the privacy direction for the Right Outside pilot. A final legal Privacy Notice will be published before public release.

Public location

Community reports show an approximate public area rather than the reporter’s raw coordinate. Exact residential units must not be exposed.

Family live location

Family sharing is private, optional and separate from public reporting. It starts only after the sharing adult acts and confirms consent. Timed sessions expire automatically; “Until I turn it off” remains visibly active until that same person stops it.

Media

Public derivatives use face and number-plate redaction. Original evidence and public derivatives use separate restricted storage and retention controls.

What we do not do

Right Outside does not use facial recognition, build biometric profiles, sell precise family location histories or use raw reports to determine guilt.

Your choices

You can control permissions in iOS Settings, stop live sharing, leave or manage a family group, report unsafe content and request account deletion in the app.
